    More Information

In association with Trinity House, we are proud to present Brook Cottage at Trevose Head Lighthouse. Brook Cottage is one of four holiday cottages available at the lighthouse which is located on a headland between the sandy beaches of Harlyn and Constantine Bays, four miles west of Padstow. The Lighthouse was built in 1847, electrified in 1973 and automated in 1995. The site is not open to the public and the four cottages are sheltered beneath a headland and are 75' above the sea, accessed via a one-mile-long private road. There are fine views out to sea from the site and the chance to watch fishing boats coming in and out of Padstow. The cottages are semi-detached, with the lighthouse positioned in the middle. At the front, there is a communal tarmac forecourt with parking. To the rear, on the sea side, there is a shared walled grass area which is fenced at the cliff edge. (In the interest of safety, it is recommended that guests do not use this space). The South West Coast Path runs around the headland and on towards Padstow. Both bedrooms at Brook Cottage enjoy sea views. Also on this site are Verity Cottage, sleeping four guests, Pelorus Cottage, sleeping four guests and Nimbus Cottage, sleeping four guests. Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). The lighthouse does not have a fog signal. Two travel cots and highchairs are available on request (shared between the four cottages). Sea views from the bedrooms only. Limited mobile signal. A landline telephone is provided. Please note: Access roads to the lighthouse site are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons. Guests are reminded they are renting a heritage building, therefore certain features such as steps, stairs and floor levels may not comply with that of a modern building. As such, we would advise guests to acquaint themselves with the premises on arrival and exercise caution accordingly. Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times. A barbecue is not provided, however guests are welcome to bring their own, subject to adhering to the safety precautions set out in the arrival information. Sorry, no fireworks, drones or remote controlled flying equipment are permitted. WiFi service can be intermittent. Given the remote locations of our cottages the Wi-Fi speed and availability cannot be guaranteed at this site The service offered is for light browsing and occasional use, services such as streaming and gaming may not be possible owing to the speeds obtainable.
