    More Information

East Cleave, a converted former farmhouse rests at the side of a pretty stream in an idyllic location near the village of Bridestowe. Accessed via a steep, rough track, this traditional cottage offers spacious accommodation, a comfortable interior and traditional charm. Upon entering the cottage, you are welcomed to a typical farmhouse-style kitchen, boasting an impressive aga (available upon request) and a good sized dining table with seating for six guests. Moving through the property the cosy lounge offers seating in front of a warming wood burning fire and exposed beams. Follow the staircase up, where you will find three good sized bedrooms, comprising two spacious double rooms and a cosy family bedroom. Completing the property is a family bathroom, housing a bath, shower over, basin and WC. Outside, you can enjoy the garden, comprising an unfenced stream and take in the beautiful views. For local amenities, you can wander into the centre of Bridestowe, where you will find a pub and shop within a 20-minute walk. The property is situated on the edge of stunning Dartmoor National Park, don your walking boots and explore the windswept moors and secluded woodlands, right from the property. Alternatively, walk or ride along The Granite Way, a truly spectacular and mostly traffic free cycle route through rural Devon with fantastic views of the moor and the surrounding countryside. Further afield, you can visit the market town of Tavistock. This friendly town houses ancient history, independent shops, a pannier market and wonderful architecture. Whilst here, you can visit Buckland Abbey, the home of Sir Francis Drake or Morwellham Quay. East Cleave is guaranteed to provide you and your loved ones a comfortable base for exploring the area.
