Enjoying a prime location near a range of shops and eateries, and within short driving distance to the coast, Tor Cottage offers four guests a delightful base, featuring enclosed gardens, a well-equipped kitchen/diner and a family-friendly layout. Unload your belongings outside of Tor Cottage, before locating a parking space on one of the nearby roads. Enter the cottage through the pretty front garden into the sitting room, complete with plush sofas, a rustling woodburning stove and a Smart TV with Sky and Netflix, offering entertainment for all. Head through to the kitchen/diner, where you can prepare meals, keep on top of your washing, and dine as a four, or if you’d prefer to bask in the sunshine with a barbecue alight, locate the rear decked area, both private and enclosed. As the night grows darker, head upstairs to rest your eyes in either of the two well-appointed bedrooms, including a double with en-suite bathroom, and a twin. The cottage is complete with a sleek shower room on the ground floor. Awaken to explore your surroundings, firstly stocking up on essentials: the nearest convenience store being a Co-Op a short walk away (opening 7am-10pm every day). Some eateries include award winning Peckish fish and chips, the Masons Arms pub, Nom Nom takeout and a Napalese Gurkha Restaurant. Tintagel and Boscastle are a short drive away. The former being home to the iconic bridge, castle, 8ft tall King Arthur statue and Merlin’s Cave; the spectacular St Nectan’s Glen waterfall and the North Tintagel Boulders for the best vantage point, where you can also access the South West Coast Path. Exploring a little further afield, Golitha Falls is a beautiful landscape, hike up to Tregarrick Tor or enjoy an immersive experience at Alpaca Trekking with Moor View Alpacas. Heading towards Bodmin, stop off at Pencarrow House & Garden, before touring the Bodmin Jail Attraction, brushing up on your local knowledge at Bodmin Town Museum, discover the charming grounds of Lanhydrock, or trek through Cardinham Woods. Dartmoor National Park is also reachable by car, worth a visit if you’re an outdoor enthusiast. It’s also good to know you’re within half an hour of Port Isaac (made famous by the ‘Doc Martin’ TV series), Bude to the north and Padstow to the south. Experience all of this from Tor Cottage.
