The village is appreciated for its renowned water sports, which includes some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK. Activities including fishing, sailing, sand yachting, golfing and hours of family fun can be enjoyed on the sandy beaches. There are several pubs, restaurants and shops in the village, with the market towns of Llangefni, Holyhead, and the city of Bangor within easy travelling distance.
