Nestled in a clearing, backed by mature trees and overlooking farmland, sits Wainwright; a beautifully renovated carriage. Set privately, this is the perfect place for one or two people to spend a weekend relaxing, taking in the Suffolk countryside. With easy access to The Norfolk Broads and the Suffolk Heritage coast, Wainwright is situated on a working farm on the Somerleyton Estate. The carriage is backed by woodland and is complete privacy, a great place to sit and have a drink watching the sun set with all the deer, rabbits, ducks and pheasants coming and going. The carriage was originally used to transport fruit, but it has been lovingly restored and converted to provide luxury accommodation. The modern finish combined with the rustic flare of the original flooring and roof arches make it a functional yet fun place to spend time away. Inside the hut there is a king-size bed at one end with a retractable table seating two on benches. The fully equipped kitchen is home to a fridge, induction hob and microwave – everything you need for cooking up a storm after a day exploring. In the chillier months, why not snuggle down with a good book and cup of tea, and light the wood burning stove? Through the door on the right hand side of the carriage is an en-suite with a shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and WC plus complimentary toiletries. . To the front of the carriage there is a wood-fired hot tub with view out across the Suffolk countryside. Outside there is a stoned patio area with a table and chairs along with a barbecue for alfresco dining. Additional Information: Two well behaved dogs welcome, for a small additional charge. Sorry, no children with the exception of infants under the age of two years. Wood-fired hot tub available for small additional charge of £80 per stay.
