Outside, the special nature of the location really comes to the fore. On every side you are surrounded by countryside, with a carefully looked after wild flower meadow offering a natural buffer. In the warmer months, guests can walk out into the meadow and set up with a picnic, or simply enjoy the constant activity of the native wildlife. For the more observant, you really must look to the skies for Barn Owls, Red Kites and Kestrels while, underneath, Holly Blue butterflies race over the grassland. Adjacent to the property is a eight acre lake, in a woodland setting, which provides opportunities for swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking. Please be aware that the use of the lake is at your own risk and equipment is not provided. Bicycle hire can be arranged locally, as well as hot tub hire, subject to the rental cost and to a £50 charge direct to the owner. A wonderful example of what makes this rural part of Norfolk so special. Within the enclosed garden area, the owners have set up sun loungers, dining furniture and a charcoal barbecue, beyond which there is also a fire pit that is well sheltered from the wind.
