For more well-known walking routes, visit The Wyre Way and travel into the centre of the Forest of Bowland AONB, or walk in the opposite direction and find yourself at Morecombe Bay if you’re looking for a day at the beach. Within an hour’s drive to the north is the Lake District National Park, which offers stunning scenery and many places of interest, such as Windermere and Ambleside as well as the Yorkshire Dales which has plenty of fantastic walking opportunities.
