In the grounds of a rare house painted by John Constable stands a newly converted barn in the heart of the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Slightly elevated on the edge of the village of Higham with access to a secluded swimming pool, this makes for a standout friends and family getaway. With tasteful interior design, including large and impressive artworks, the barn is aesthetically pleasing, enjoys beautiful light and is extremely comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen has been fully modernised and has lovely west facing views over a well-kept lawn with countryside beyond. Under pristine white marbled worktops is a dishwasher, electric oven and ample storage. The kitchen also comes with a Nespresso coffee machine and a full size fridge and freezer. The living space has solid oak floors throughout. The sitting room has a large square coffee table and two comfortable three seater sofas facing a 42” Smart television below one of the many striking paintings by well known local artists. At the other end is seating for six to eight people with a settle adapted from an old Spanish headboard, wooden dining table and five matching chairs. This open plan living room provides an antique desk and chair and French windows opening straight onto the outdoor dining patio. Beneath mature trees with outdoor dining and a pool terrace, there is loads of private space to enjoy rural alfresco living. Additional Information: Please be aware the pool is not fenced in. Travel cot and high chair available on request (please provide your own linen). Sorry, no pets. Occasionally the owner will need to enter the parking area to access a separate part of the barn while fully respecting guests privacy.
