A detached cottage situated behind the owner’s hotel and pub, The Stables lies in Longrock, on the southwest Cornish coast next to a popular beach. Completed with reverse-level accommodation, the first floor is home to the open-plan living space accessed either via the internal lift, or the external spiral staircase. Featuring exposed beams and high ceilings, look forward to coming home to this property after a fun-filled day on the beach, and crash on the large cream sofa to watch a film on the TV, or pick up a good book from the selection of books available. The middle of the room is where the lift comes to when reaching the first floor, with the dining and kitchen area beyond this. Sit around the dining table and tuck into the complimentary Cornish cream tea, just make sure you put the jam on first! A contemporary kitchen lies at the back, where you can rustle up some tasty treats and packed lunches to feature on your days out, or cook a meal for the group in the evening, before taking an after-dinner drink out to the courtyard on a balmy evening. Descending the spiral staircase, or in the lift, you will find the two bedrooms; a double and a twin, both with wardrobes and storage for your personal items, a TV in each, decorated in coastal hues of blue, cream and white for a delightful finish. For a special experience, book in with Cornwall Swimming Horses, where you can ride into the sea in your wetsuit on the back of a horse with no fears of falling off, with special needs riders and those suffering with long term illnesses benefiting from the therapeutic impact of swimming alongside these sentient animals. Walk along the beach up to Marazion and visit the famous St Michael’s Mount when the tide is out, and afterwards, visit one of the restaurants which look out to this amazing tidal island, for a perfect sunset evening views.
