Further afield you will find the historic Yorkshire market town of Richmond, great for strolling along the cobbled high street and castle walls. Nearby attractions also include The Pennine and Teesdale Ways, the medieval Raby Castle with deer park and the magnificent waterfalls at High Force. A day out at Durham is also not to be missed, with its majestic cathedral standing high above the River Wear.
