Slaters Rest is a former quarryman’s cottage overlooking the Langdale Valley and Langdale Pikes. This is an ideal base for two couples and a walker’s dream.

This traditional, characterful cottage has been tastefully renovated to provide a comfortable stay. Enter into the cosy lounge with lovely open fire which is the perfect spot to reflect on your day together. Continue through to the well-equipped kitchen with dining area and further onto the ground floor modern shower room. The two spacious bedrooms are both a treat with inspiring mountain views and one has a large en-suite complete with bath perfect for a long soak after a day outdoors.whilst the other has a luxurios en-suite bathroom with fell side views. Outside the cottage is a shared garden area, a lovely spot for your morning coffee.

Chapel Stile is a small village within the Landgale Valley but only 4 miles from Ambleside. Immerse yourself into nature and enjoy the many walks from the door and nearby Blea Tarn. You’ll find a plethora of excellent Lake District country pubs in the Langdale Valley, serving locally brewed ale and hearty food including The Britannia Inn and Wainwright’s Inn. If you’re looking for a special evening out, sample the Glass House in Ambleside or seek out the famous Drunken Duck Inn and Restaurant in nearby Outgate.
