Take a walk to Waterhead Pier and catch one of the famous steamers to Bowness or take a scenic drive over the picturesque Kirkstone Pass to romantic Ullswater and Wordsworth Country around Keswick and Grasmere. For those seeking greater outdoor activity, Grizedale Forest is well worth checking out, with a variety of mountain biking trails, off-road Segway adventures, horse riding and Go Ape Tree Top challenges on offer.
