    More Information

Nestled in Norfolk’s countryside, at the start of Thumb Lane, in the village of Horningtoft, is the cosy, welcoming conversion of a former Methodist Chapel dating back to 1873. The property benefits from a well-appointed bathroom with a good-sized bath and shower. The contemporary kitchen will make your life easy for self-catering, and the open plan design has a
sumptuous mezzanine, a king-size bed and a view over the countryside. The secure, private garden to the rear has a lockable shed for bicycles and you can enjoy dining on the patio, where to the west you can watch the sun go down and often a barn owl flying over the small paddock in front of the garden at certain times of the year. Those wishing to explore the North Norfolk coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty, are in luck as a short drive will take you to Wells Quay and Holkham Hall with its vast sandy beach, countless picturesque walks, and bird hides. Wensum Spring has access to a very long coastline as well as places like Sandringham, Ken Hill (featured on Springwatch), Tichwell (RSPB), N.T. Blickling and Felbrigg halls. The towns of Fakenham, Dereham and Swaffham have markets on Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectively, and are great places to explore. Hop in the car to spend a day in the historic city of Norwich. You can even hop on the bus from Horningtoft Church on a Wednesday that travels via various villages. The Castle, Bridewell, and Strangers Hall museums are excellent and several theatres that might appeal, as well as a lot of independent shops in the older parts. If you’re looking to catch a glimpse of a steam train, you’re in luck as they can be found a short drive from Wensum Spring as can the iconic Norfolk Broads.
