Hendre, a splendid, detached bungalow enveloped by the surrounding hills of the Berwyn Mountains and Welsh countryside, welcomes a family or group of friends for an idyllic retreat. Approaching the property, you’ll be greeted by a sweeping driveaway that leads to the cottage’s entrance, as well as a lush lawn and delightful patio with seating, perfect for sipping wine by the fire pit while tucking into a barbecued feast. Inside, discover the inviting sitting room, complete with a woodburning stove, two plush sofas and a Smart TV, whilst the kitchen/diner is ideal for sociable gatherings, with a breakfast bar that looks out onto scenic countryside views. A convenient utility and cloakroom are also at your disposal. One of the highlights of the property is access to your own private lake, providing a serene backdrop and escape from day-to-day life. When the day draws to a close, rest in one of the two charming bedrooms, one with a super-king-size (zip/link) bed and the other with a double, serviced by a family bathroom where you can indulge a soak or revitalising shower. In the morning, a stroll from your doorstep will lead you to the local Post Office with a shop, and a 500-year-old pub, the perfect spot for a night away from the kitchen! Venture to the nearby village of Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, offering a wealth of convenience stores, a local pub, restaurant, art gallery and the highest waterfall in Wales. Nature enthusiasts will relish exploring the Berwyn Mountain range, while Lake Vyrnwy offers a tranquil escape with the option of afternoon tea or spa treatments at the nearby hotel. For those seeking adventure, there are opportunities for mountain biking in Dolgellau Mountains and whitewater rafting at Lake Bala, or if you’re wanting some relaxed sightseeing, head to Powis Castle, Shropshire Sculpture Park or the historic city of Chester. Hendre promises a peaceful retreat, all year-round!
