All within a short drive there is an abundance of historical picturesque landmarks and the town of Holmfirth which is famed as being the setting for the comedy series, Last of the Summer Wine, and also has interesting winding streets to explore, a good public swimming pool and fitness centre, parks, shops and restaurants, and is home to numerous music and arts festivals throughout the year. Slightly further are the cities of Sheffield, Huddersfield and Leeds, which each make for ideal days out, whether you want to drink, shop or visit museums.
