Set up camp in one of the sheltered coves on the edge of the beach or at low tide, head to Pentireglaze (Baby Bay to locals) for a quieter family picnic. Follow the coast path along the cliff to Pentire Point and The Rumps for awe-inspiring and dramatic scenes of the ocean and the mouth of the estuary with the lifeboat station in the distance at Trevose Head. Families with youngsters can happily relax at Daymer Bay with a picnic and buckets and spades, knowing that beach games, paddling and rock pools will keep little darlings amused for the whole day.
