If you are looking for a dog-friendly property oozing character, look no further than Dane Cottage, in the hamlet of Trewetha, on the outskirts of beautiful Port Isaac. Featuring exposed beams and original stone walls, stone floors and an impressive open-tread staircase, this is certainly an unforgettable base from which to enjoy an amazing getaway in Cornwall.
The open-plan living area is cleverly divided by the staircase into three segments – the compact, well-equipped kitchen, the dining area, and the warm and inviting sitting area with woodburning stove and stunning feature wall. The staircase leads up to two very comfortable bedrooms; a double bedroom with a king-size bed, and a twin room, plus a family shower room with basin and WC.
The charm continues outside, with a traditional stone paved terrace, a super spot to enjoy reading the newspaper with your morning coffee.
With Port Isaac’s famed seafood restaurants, cafés and harbourside close by, not to mention a wealth of coves and beaches within a short walk or drive, Dane Cottage is well-located for taking in all of North Cornwall’s delights. Head to Port Gaverne for kayaking and rock pooling, visit Daymer Bay with its safe water and golden sand, or venture further along the coast to the surfers’ paradise Newquay. Also nearby are numerous sites of historical and environmental interest like Tintagel, and the National Trust property Lanhydrock.
Whatever pursuits you like to enjoy during your holiday, Dane Cottage offers fabulous, well-maintained holiday accommodation in one of North Cornwall’s most picturesque spots, on the outskirts of popular Port Isaac.
