With many traditional features and enhanced with designer furnishings it tastefully blends character and contemporary. Parking right outside the cottage enter through the porch into the light, spacious lounge with oak floor and open fire, leather sofas and picture windows. Well-equipped kitchen/dining room overlooks the garden, with French doors leading to furnished patio. On the first floor, both bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with fine and far-reaching views. Spacious and elegant shower room also on first floor. Ambleside’s friendly character, comfy cafes, fantastic restaurants and traditional pubs combine with a great location from which to explore the rest of the Lakes. From Waterhead Pier in Ambleside, the Windermere Lake Cruisers take you the full length of the lake, with stops at Bowness and Lakeside. The A591 connects Ambleside village with Grasmere and Keswick to the north, Windermere and Bowness to the south, and journeys west to the delights of Hawkshead and Coniston are just as easy. Walks abound in the area, and Ambleside is a great place to start with excellent outdoor equipment shops offering advice and inspiration.
