Attached to the main house, this cottage overlooks the landscaped grounds of this stunning estate, part of which is a working farm well known for horses, and is a great base for families or couples looking for a rural retreat. A private driveway lined with mature trees greets you on arrival, as well as old walled and wildflower gardens surrounding the property. Inside, the entrance hall sets the luxury scene of Scarvagh House with antique furnishings and paintings, leading you to the spacious living/dining room. This elegant space has a formal dining table for eight guests, as well as a table for four set by the large windows overlooking the grounds and grazing horses. Part of the walled garden, you’ll have your own piece of garden for a quiet moment to listen to the birds, whilst a barbecue is available on request should you wish to dine al fresco on summer evenings. Scarvagh House has two luxury bedrooms, a four-poster bedroom and a twin, both with antique furnishings in keeping with the estate’s character, whilst making you feel right at home with TVs and contemporary, en-suite bathrooms. You’ll have much of the grounds to explore with stunning mountain views and lovely walks from the doorstep, such as the Portadown to Newry tow path, ideal for walking or cycling.
