Once you’re ready to tour the region, grab your hiking boots and head out to Bryngarw Country Park, a haven for spotting wildlife and breath-taking views. Further south, explore the ruins of Ogmore Castle and Merthyr Mawr Nature Reserve before reaching the stunning Welsh coastline at Ogmore By Sea or popular Porthcawl. Heading west, The National Waterfront Museum and the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery are well worth a visit if you decide to take in Swansea, the gate-way to the Gower Peninsula. Likewise, a visit to Wales’ capital city Cardiff offers a day of art, culture and shopping, where you’ll have the opportunity to tour the National Museum Cardiff, Cardiff Castle, Wales Millennium Centre and Cardiff Bay.
