When you’re ready to explore, take a short walk down to the family friendly Carbis Bay beach, or book surfing lessons at the famous Gwithian or Porthmeor beaches and admire the golden sands and azure blue water, lace up your shoes and take a 30 minute walk along the coast path to St Ives or just pop down to the station (150 yards away) and take the short scenic train ride and be there in five minutes. St Ives, famous for its fishing history, picturesque harbour and streets, galleries, established restaurants and pubs, The Tate and Barbra Hepworth Museum, long established artist community. Plan your walks to take in spectacular coastal scenery, rich ancient historic sites, mining heritage or just sit on an ancient granitic tor and gaze at nature at its best. If driving is not for you, you can enjoy the freedom of the circular round the coast ‘Hop On Hop Off ‘ scenic open top bus and visit local attractions and locations, admiring the scenes from the top deck without the worries of narrow lanes or parking. After an exhilarating day take a well earned break and enjoy tapas at La Casita, traditional pub food at The Badger or for that special occasion try the taster menu at The Ugly Butterfly but don’t miss out on a fish and chip take away from the famous Becks Fish & Chip shop, all walkable.
