25 Clements Lane is an attractive two-bedroom cottage with many character features, including feature stained glass windows, situated in the heart of Fortuneswell on the beautiful Isle of Portland, Dorset. Sleeping up to three guests, this cottage is ideal for those wishing to enjoy this part of the world heritage Jurassic Coast, with its abundance of walks and proximity to Chesil Beach and other beaches popular with swimmers and water sports enthusiasts alike.
Located in a quiet and pretty street, you will enter to find a spacious open-plan kitchen diner on the ground floor, with a dining table and chairs to the front of the cottage and the cheery kitchen offering everything needed for a self-catered holiday at the rear. Stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find the sitting room with TV and the family bathroom. The bedrooms are located on the second floor, a spacious double and a single.
The small courtyard garden at the rear is the perfect spot for enjoying your morning cup of tea while you plan your activities for the day ahead.
Located at the end of the famous Chesil Beach, the Isle of Portland offers visitors so much to see and do. Chesil Cove beach is a popular spot with scuba divers and anglers with the seafront a perfect spot to sit and watch the sun set. There are lots of places to eat out in Fortuneswell including cafes, pubs, and restaurants and Chesil Cove beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, perfect for fish and chips on the beach. At just four miles long, Portland is a place steeped in maritime history and heritage with museums, castles, and three lighthouses to discover. The distinctive red and white striped Portland Bill Lighthouse and visitor centre is one of the island’s main draws where you can climb the 153 steps to the top of the tower for some exceptional views of the coastline. Portland is known worldwide for its sailing waters – the National Sailing Academy is based here which was the host venue for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing events.
Popular days out include a visit to Weymouth with its Sea Life adventure park, the sandy beach dotted with colourful beach huts, and the Victorian Nothe Fort.
