The site has the Hodbarrow RSPB nature reserve on one side along with a freshwater lagoon offering water sports and a waterside bar, there is also a children’s play area on the park. It is a ten minute walk from the sea, and for those who are interested in beach fishing Silecroft is only a couple of miles away, where there is also has an excellent beach cafe. Coniston is just over half an hours drive away for those interested in fell walking, we are in the shadow of Black Combe which also offers good walks.
