Horton-in-Ribblesdale 0.5 miles. A stone-built detached period cottage, bordering a farm lane, within the lovely hamlet of Newhouses, leading to the Pennine Way. This charming property exudes old world charm, with many original features including beamed ceilings, flagged floors and original slate shelves in the kitchen. There is a multi-fuel stove in the sitting room, ensuring a warm welcome at any time of the year and coal is provided in the small barn to the left of the cottage. At the rear and sides of the cottage is an attractive garden with an excellent view of one of the Three Peaks, Pen-y-Ghent. The farm lane, which runs past the front door of the cottage, leading to the Pennine Way is mostly used as a path for walkers and the whole area is a paradise for walkers and mountain bikers, with many footpaths and bridleways throughout the surrounding Dales countryside. A wonderful base for an ideal Dales holiday.
