Note: In Goathland the sheep are allowed to wander freely please ensure gate to the property are kept closed at all times to ensure pets don’t get out and sheep don’t get into the garden. Note: Please bring your own torch as Goathland is a “dark sky place” being part of the North York Moors National Park and the street lighting is at a lower level than other towns/cities and is very dark at night. Some local footpath’s are uneven and many are littered with sheep excrement due to the permitted free roaming of sheep in the area.
