Within a quarter of an hours walk you will find Lord Street, the main shopping street, full of fantastic eateries and shops, and superb architecture claimed to have been an inspiration for the tree-lined boulevards of Paris. For a day out in the city, why not take the short train journey to Liverpool and take in the sights and sounds, while visiting the many attractions of the city centre with its abundance of museums, shops and restaurants? Slightly further afield, the Roman city of Chester is not to be missed, with its enchanting cobbled streets and Roman walls.
