For a day out in the city, why not take the short train journey to Liverpool and take in the sights and sounds, while visiting the many attractions of the city centre with its abundance of museums, shops and restaurants? Slightly further afield, the Roman city of Chester is not to be missed, with its enchanting cobbled streets and Roman walls. For those looking for a more relaxed day out, Southport has many beautiful parks and coastal walks to enjoy as well as being close to the Ribble Estuary Nature Reserve.
