The market town of Ulverston offers good public transport links, Ulverston Station and bus stops within walking distance. There’s also a regular calendar of festivals, including a Christmas Dickensian Fair and the traditional flag festival and a lantern procession when the whole town turns out for a colourful evening of fun and music. The town also has a selection of restaurants to enjoy, and the superb Coronation Hall, which holds an interesting variety of plays, concerts and events. This excellent location has something for everyone, with the Lake District within 30 minutes’ drive, and the beautiful coastal area overlooking Morecambe Bay with an abundance of walks and wildlife to enjoy especially on a bright day when the views are inspiring and the sunsets spectacular.
