Disley 1.5miles. This lovely detached holiday home is set in the middle of beautiful countryside, overlooking Lyme Park and surrounded by fields and woodland. It is beside the owners’ 17th century cottage on the outskirts of Disley; a thriving village on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is a wonderful place for couples to relax, escape the stresses of everyday life, and explore this beautiful area of Cheshire and Derbyshire. At the bottom of a driveway, lined with lawns and borders, the front door opens into a spacious hallway with plenty of space to store shoes and walking boots. The bedroom is bright and comfortable with a king-size bed and plenty of storage in a double wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside drawer units, so you can make yourselves right at home. Close to the bedroom is a modern bathroom with a heated towel rail and P-shaped bath with shower. The open plan living area is a great place to relax and unwind after a long walk and prepare delicious meals to enjoy with a bottle of wine at the dining table. When the sun is shining, you can throw open the patio doors and step outside to eat in the sunshine. Because of its proximity to the Peak District National Park and situated on the Gritstone Trail, The Lodge is an excellent choice for walkers and cyclists. It is also within walking distance of the National Trust property, Lyme Park, a magnificent mansion house, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a 1400 acre deer park. A mile and a half away, the village of Disley is a lively, friendly hub, with an abundance of places to eat and drink. A wonderful holiday home for couples wishing to explore the Peak District.
