14 Beesands is a characterful, spacious cottage enjoying a prime position on Beesands sea front. The cottage has been transformed from a 300 year old stone built pub into a quaint and comfortable holiday home, furnished in a traditional style and retaining many of the period features such as exposed beams, large fireplaces with wood burners and slate floors. It also benefits from plenty of space for up to 6 people, with a large sitting room, separate dining room and rear courtyard. The village of Beesands boasts a welcoming pub and seafood restaurant . It is also the perfect location to explore the stunning South West Coast Path and the many diverse attractions to be found in the beautiful South Hams.

Please Note: There is a detached one bedroom stone building in the rear courtyard that is sometimes used by the owners during the season. However, the owners totally respect their guests' privacy, but could be on hand if you require any help or advice during your stay.

The local area

This tiny fishing village has magnificent views across Start Bay towards Dartmouth’s Harbour Entrance to the NE and the iconic Start Point Lighthouse to the SE. Its pebble beach is a sanctuary for anglers, while walkers are drawn to its winding coastal paths. The Cricket Inn, Beesands' village pub, prides itself on a first class menu served only a stone’s throw away from the ever-changing shore.

A newer addition to the Beesands menu is the delicious fresh food served up at the Britannia @ The Beach seafood shack, also located on the beach front and serving great food day and night.

Local tourist attractions include the Start Point Lighthouse, Slapton Ley Nature Reserve and the lost village of Hallsands. The bustling market towns of Kingsbridge and Dartmouth are only a short driving distance away, while local shops can be found in the neighbouring villages of Torcross and Chillington.

A holiday cottage in Beesands is perfectly positioned for enjoying this beautiful stretch of coastline.
