Fleur Cottage is a superb holiday property in a great location with stunning Sea Views from the living area, large patio and garden. Well equipped with a charming interior and only ten minute’s walk to the beach and the centre of the village. A fabulous split level bungalow, furnished to a very good standard with everything you would need for a memorable holiday by the coast with the addition of a Woodburner for the cooler times of the year. This delightful house has a unique design and benefits from an open plan style living area incorporating a generous sized dining area and comfortable lounge. There is an inviting patio with outdoor seating from which to enjoy Al Fresco dining and absorb the lovely views of Lyme Bay, rolling hills and far reaching views of Portland Isle. Located in a quiet lane which leads to the beach, the cottage offers ideal 'home from home' comforts.

Charmouth has a small selection of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront provides a wealth of information about local geology, rock pooling and fossil collecting. There is also a large park, with a well-equipped children's playground nearby. A great location for walkers; the South West Coast footpath and a network of inland footpaths allow visitors to explore the stunning West Dorset coast and countryside. There are also regular bus routes running through the village along the Jurassic coast and it's only a five-minute drive to the historic seaside town of Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb Harbour. Please note: Due to the gradient approach from the parking spaces to the front door, the property may not be suitable for a guest with mobility issues.

Outside

Large patio area with outdoor seating, sun loungers, far reaching Sea Views and rolling hills. Large garden perfect for dogs although please note this isn't fully secure for pets.

To keep the garden in good condition for your stay, a gardener will attend weekly (outside only) to maintain the lawn and shrubs, weather permitting.

The local area

Charmouth is a beautiful seaside village, and one of the gateways to the world famous Jurassic Coast. Charmouth was also novelist Jane Austen’s favourite seaside resort, and with its stunning ancient coastline, dramatic cliffs, and blue flag bathing beach, it’s easy to see why.

Surrounded by rolling countryside and picturesque woodland, Charmouth is perfectly located for coastal or rural walks, boat or beach fishing, family days at the beach, and relaxing strolls through the pretty village with its friendly shops and cosy pubs.

If you'd like to discover more about the Jurassic Coast, the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre is worth visiting for its amazing fossil collections and guided fossil hunts that give you the chance to uncover an ancient relic of your own.

Meanwhile, the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis is just a 10-minute drive away and home to a wide range of shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as the Lyme Regis Museum, Lyme Regis Aquarium, and Marine Theatre.

If you're looking for a day out, there are several family-friendly attractions within easy reach, including the Axe Valley Wildlife Park, Seaton Tramway and Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, all of which are just over the border in East Devon.

A holiday cottage in Charmouth makes a stunning base for enjoying the many rural and coastal charms of Dorset, whilst being convenient for venturing over the border into East Devon too.
