The cottage is situated just a short way from the village green in the pretty, peaceful village of Foolow near Eyam. This charming cottage provides cosy and welcoming accommodation featuring a small kitchen and a sitting room with dining area making it a lovely base for this part of the Peak District. From the cottage there are walks from the door, plus the quaint, quiet village of Foolow provides a relaxing environment, with a village green complete with duck pond and an excellent pub serving food. Nearby Eyam, a mile or so away, provides a fascinating view into history past with the story of how the residents enclosed themselves to stop the spread of the plague. The picturesque market town of Bakewell is just 5 miles away, offering a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, while good walking is available in the Peak District National Park. With Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall also within easy reach, makes this cottage an ideal base for a relaxing break, at any time of year.
