This detached, former farm cottage is in a truly rural location, high up on the Ridgeway in Wiltshire, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 1.5 miles from Ogbourne St George and 4 miles from Aldbourne. Thoughtfully renovated, this attractive cottage offers a peaceful country base from which to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Inside, youll discover a warm and comfortable social space with a superb kitchen and dining area, together with comfy seating where you can relax and snuggle up in front of the woodburning stove. Theres a further separate sitting room for those who wish to disappear to watch the TV in peace! Theres a shower room as well as a bathroom on the ground floor, so you wont all have to queue up in the morning. Upstairs, theres room for your entire group, including the youngsters, and there are amazing views across the nearby farmland from the front windows. Outside, theres half an acre of lawned garden to enjoy, whilst the well-marked Ridgeway Trail goes straight past the front fence, offering fantastic walking opportunities. The two adjacent villages of Aldbourne and Ogbourne St George have friendly pubs serving good food and real ales, and theres a lively golf club close by, whilst the attractive market town of Marlborough has a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further afield, but easily accessible, are the ancient stone circles of both Avebury and Stonehenge, and the Kennet and Avon canal which winds its way through the picturesque Pewsey Vale towards the regal city of Bath.
