    More Information

A charming detached cottage just a short walk from the amenities of the village of Ewyas Harold, surrounded by the beautiful Herefordshire countryside of the Golden Valley, close to the Welsh border. Thoughtfully furnished throughout, this superb cottage provides an ideal holiday home for a small group or family to get away from it all and enjoy the many delights of the area. Set over two floors, the ground floor is comprised of a delightful sitting room with doors leading to the rear garden, a spacious kitchen/diner with separate utility and a twin bedroom with en-suite facilities. Up on the first floor you’ll find one lovely king-size double bedroom, one double bedroom and a main bathroom, and outside, the rear lawned cottage garden makes a great place to relax with a refreshing drink on a summer’s evening. The ancient village of Ewyas Harold has two pubs, an award-winning fish and chip shop, a well-stocked store and a Post Office. Within driving distance are Abergavenny, Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. All three offer something different to guests, with Abergavenny boasting a castle with its own museum, shops, pubs and restaurants, Hay-on-Wye with its number of book shops and the city of Hereford boasting a stunning cathedral and many amenities to suit all tastes. The area offers numerous walks and cycle trails, especially in the nearby Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and the Black Mountains. A wonderful cottage, ideal for a break whatever the time of year.
