    More Information

A delightful stone-built terraced cottage in the heart of Grassington, one of the most popular villages in the Yorkshire Dales. An 18th century former lead miner’s cottage, it provides an ideal base for a small family or couple wishing to get away from it all and enjoy a wonderful break in this ever-popular area. In a quiet corner of the village yet only a stone’s throw from the vibrant centre of the village, the cottage is packed with character and charm; guests will be delighted by a warm and cosy sitting room with a gas-fired stove set in a beautiful stone surround, as well as a lovely window seat, exposed stone walls and original ceiling beams; an ideal room in which to relax and unwind. The small kitchen adjoins the sitting room and leads out to a quiet lane. Upstairs, the charming king-size double bedroom boasts pretty views over the adjoining gardens and across the village. There’s also a separate shower room available. This cosy and romantic cottage is just a one minute walk from the famous village centre, with its old curiosity shops, excellent local pubs, good eating establishments and, of course, the old cobbled square where the annual Dickensian weekends are a real show-stopper. Add to this the annual Grassington Festival and the close proximity of many of the Dales’ famous tourist locations and you’ve a holiday cottage not to be missed. A cottage and village full of character and charm, certainly a great combination and one not to be missed!
