    More Information

Aberdaron 5 miles. A charming and rustic detached cottage, set within its own grounds and situated just five miles from the coastal village of Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage is ideal for couples, friends and families wishing to spend some time together enjoying the local scenery, walks, beaches and various attractions which are all with easy reach. Offering comfortable, homely accommodation, the property has undergone a comprehensive scheme of upgrading, with character beams, a farmhouse style kitchen with a stone inglenook housing the AGA cooking range, ground floor bathroom and an exposed inglenook fireplace with a multi-fuel stove in the cosy sitting room with dining area. Upstairs are three bedrooms, a twin and two doubles, giving flexible family accommodation. Once an old attached barn, the games room with its high-pitched ceiling, exposed stonework and roof timbers and purlins is a fantastic place for all the family to enjoy some quality time together, rising to the challenge with a few games of pool. Alternatively, sit and relax in front of the woodburning stove, which is great on those chillier days when perhaps the weather stops play! Patio doors open out to the patio area and lawned garden, which extends to a further enclosed paddock, ideal for the children to enjoy a kickabout. Garden furniture provides seating for alfresco dining or to enjoy a glass of something refreshing and reminisce on the day’s adventures, or simply enjoy the peace of the countryside, and with very little light pollution, you can stargaze long into the night. The cottage is located on the Wales Coastal Path, or explore the numerous nearby unspoilt beaches, with rock pools and coves, or visit the famous Whistling Sands beach which is only eight miles away. The marine visitor centre in Aberdaron is also well worth a visit, alternatively have a leisurely lunch at one of the local village pubs. Close by are the popular resorts of Abersoch and Pwllheli, which are well worth exploring. Further afield, but within driving distance, is the Italianate village of Portmeirion, the wonderful Snowdonia National Park, and the Isle of Anglesey. This charming cottage is an ideal base for exploring the riches this beautiful area offers.
