    More Information

Bijou, contemporary and cosy, this clever semi-detached conversion is a short stroll from the lovely little town of Wirksworth, on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire. The owners of The Sidings, who live next door, have created a charming retreat, with great attention to detail and lots of thoughtful touches throughout. There is a sociable open plan living space with a kitchen and a sitting area with sofa.. An open staircase leads to the first floor double bedroom and en-suite shower room. The idyllic window seat is a lovely place to while away the time, gazing out to the Gilkin Hills. The Sidings sits by the heritage railway, with the occasional steam train tootling by, adding to the atmosphere without being intrusive. Wirksworth is an easy place to fall in love with and is a very special town with a reputation for inspiring creativity, luring artists and designers. This is a great all year round holiday destination as within a short drive of Wirksworth, you can be wandering the lovely streets of Ashbourne, admiring the breathtaking views in a cable car to Abraham Heights, or sailing on Carsington Water.
