More information

An endearing, stone terraced cottage, located near to the local inn, in the village of Ugthorpe. Cosy and appealing, the cottage is ideal for families wishing to stay in a peaceful setting, but still be within easy reach of the Yorkshire coastal resorts of Whitby, Saltburn, Staithes and Scarborough. The comfortable sitting room has a warming multi-fuel stove and there are patio doors leading to a private patio area, overlooking a pleasant, shared gravel garden. The spacious kitchen/diner overlooks the main street, with panoramic views of farmland beyond. There are two pleasant bedrooms on the first floor, one overlooking farmland to the north and the second overlooking the gravelled garden to the south. With careful renovation, this is a comfortable and cosy cottage with the added benefit of a popular village inn, selling fine ales and good food, on the doorstep. There are splendid walking and cycling trails to be discovered nearby, whilst the popular seaside town of Whitby, with its long sandy beaches and cobbled streets, is just a short, scenic drive away. Discover the elegant spa town of Saltburn to the north, or take a trip to the second spa town of Scarborough a little further to the south – both will afford pleasant days out as you explore the independent shops, tea rooms and art galleries. A well-placed cottage for a relaxing holiday.
