A characterful cottage located in the village of Allendale, ideally placed for exploring the Lake District, and the surrounding areas of natural beauty. This charming hideaway is perfect for travellers, family or friends wanting to escape for a while, perhaps to enjoy some peace and quiet away from it all. Enter into the open plan kitchen/diner, home to a woodburner which you can gather around on a cooler evening. French doors open out to the wonderful garden so you can spend some time in the fresh air at your own leisure. After an adventure filled day wander up to the next floor and relax in the lounge, where you can snuggle up next to the open fire for a lovely night in. The first bedroom lies close by and a beautiful shower room has been modernized to a high standard. Two further bedrooms rest on the second floor, elevated by exposed beams and Velux windows that welcome the outside in. A walk-in shower room is a pleasant addition to the layout and the family bathroom boasts a stand alone bath with pure white fittings. Allendale is well-situated for accessing Carlisle, Hexham, Newcastle and Durham to the east, not forgetting Hadrian’s Wall to the north. There are lots of walks, cycling opportunities and unspoilt villages in the neighbouring North Pennines; an abundance of coast to coast attractions. A delightful little cottage for a memorable holiday all-year-round.
