    More Information

A superb detached cottage ideally located in the centre of the pretty village of Pebworth, just a short distance from the historic towns of Chipping Campden and Stratford-upon-Avon. It has links to actor Sir Ben Kingsley. He originally rented an apartment in the village whilst working at the RSC, and this apartment was in Pebworth House that stands opposite the church. Upon achieving fame with his film role Ghandi, the actor bought the whole property from his landlady and the grounds on the proviso that he would build a cottage in the orchard for her and her family. The result is Pebworth Cottage which has mellowed over the years to be part of the village and is now, after extensive renovation, ready for guests to enjoy. It is beautifully furnished with everything needed for a luxurious break in a stunning part of the country. Enter the cottage into a light and welcoming hall, ideal for storing walking gear or wellies and make your way to the stunning, well-equipped kitchen with granite worktops and a stable door to the rear garden. Next door the gorgeous dining room makes the perfect place for catching up with friends over dinner. From the dining room is a bright and light sitting room, with warming woodburning stove, sumptuous sofas and large windows and glass doors. From the hall make your way to the first floor where you will find three beautiful bedrooms all boasting high-quality beds and bed linen, plus the two front bedrooms have the added benefit of amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Back on the ground floor is a superb king-size bedroom complete with stunning en-suite (accessed via stairs to the first floor) with a slipper bath ideal for a long soak after a day exploring the area, and a luxurious double shower. A beautiful bathroom is situated on the first floor as well as a wet room on the ground floor off the hall. Step outside and enjoy alfresco dining or family games in the enclosed cottage garden or take a short drive and enjoy a meal at one of the many excellent pubs in the area including a 13th century thatched tavern at Honeybourne or The Fleece at Breatforton, owned by the National Trust. Further afield, there are many unspoilt towns and villages in the area, with Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh all within easy reach.
