This is a delightful mid-terrace cottage in the pretty village of Wolsingham. A lovely cottage which is centrally located and ideal for a romantic break exploring this interesting part of the country. Stepping through the front door, there is a sitting room with a dining area and two comfy sofas which are set around a cosy woodburner, where you can relax if the weather becomes a little cold. A door leads through to the well-equipped kitchen and there is a beautiful shower room for added flexibility. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with views of the hills and a second smaller bedroom which contains two single beds, one of which is suitable for a child as it has limited head height. There is also a family bathroom which completes all the accommodation. Outside this cosy cottage there is a private enclosed courtyard with furniture where you can relax with a morning coffee or dine alfresco if the mood takes you. Just a short stroll from the cottage, which is in the west end of Wolsingham, is the River Wear and the park which makes this a prime location with many walks in the area. There is a wide variety of pubs, shops, restaurants and takeaways. A short drive away there are many exciting places to visit from this cottage including Hamsterley Forest, Auckland Castle, Kynren, Killhope Lead Mining Museum and of course a trip on the Weardale railway is a must. To the north of the cottage is the city of Durham and for a day trip, why not drive along the Northumberland coast, and visit Middleton-in-Teesdale and the North Yorkshire Moors. Wherever you choose to visit, this cottage is in an ideal central location.
