This delightful and unique 17th century detached cottage is positively oozing with charm and is situated on the outskirts of the village of Talybont in Gwynedd. This cottage has lovely sea views and is truly a superb location for exploring and taking in the marvellous varied scenery, perfect for small families, friends or even a romantic break for two. It is a lovely room to socialise together and plan the days activities over breakfast at the dining table and there is also a cosy sofa by the woodburner, creating a lovely quiet spot to sit back and relax with a book or watch birdlife in the garden. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed and well-equipped for your needs. The pretty double bedroom is beautifully presented with a wonderful whitewashed stone wall to the front and impressive thick window sills with feature slate and wooden window shutters thats just adds to the charm. This is a lovely room to wake up in as you can open the shutters and enjoy the sea views. The second bedroom has bunk beds suitable for adults and children and again enjoys lovely whitewashed stone walls and even has a high Velux window, possibly good for a little star gazing if youre lucky enough to be in the top bunk! The contemporary shower room completes the accommodation with a modern suite and power shower. Completing this beautiful cosy cottage is the garden. To the rear of the cottage there is a gravelled driveway with a raised lawn area and steps up to a further patio area, perfect for alfresco dining with a glass of something cool and refreshing while taking in the distant sea views. There is also secure storage space available for bikes, surfboards, canoes or fishing equipment! Within 5 minutes walk of the cottage there a country pub, and restaurant and if you fancy a walk to the beach there are bars and restaurants to enjoy too. The cottage is well positioned on the edge of the village of Talybont nearby to lovely walks along the Afon Ysgethin River through the woods with an abundance of wildlife. The cottage is also only a 10 minute walk from the wonderful sandy beach perfect for long walks, building sand castles and taking a dip. The next village of Dyffryn Ardudwy is a mile down the road where there are two pubs, cafes, a garage, shop and local butchers and also a Post Office for sending the post card! The bustling seaside town of Barmouth is under five minutes drive away where there are plenty of shops, bars, activities and sites to see and enjoy. There are some amazing walks from the door and Cwm Nantcol, Cwm Bychan and the Roman Steps up to the well-known Rhinog mountain range are all close by. The beaches along this stretch of the North Wales coastline are beautiful with miles and miles of sandy shores and there are many cycling trails to enjoy. This fantastic location also boasts good golf courses and medieval castles such as Harlech Castle just four miles away. This cottage is wonderful for a get away-from-it-all break and an ideal base to explore this part of North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park any time of year.
