With so much outdoor space, be sure to make the most of Nant Y Celyn’s beautiful gardens; spend summer evenings rustling up an alfresco dinner on the barbecue in the front garden, whilst the enclosed rear garden offers plenty of seating space and a hot tub to de-stress after the day’s adventures. You’ll spot horses and sheep grazing in the surrounding fields, one of which has access for guests to play games or picnics, as well as footpaths leading to the nearby stream and woodlands for refreshing morning walks. Travel up to the market town of Ruthin to discover Nantclwyd y Dre Historic House and Gardens and the town’s Gaol Museum, or visit the picturesque, riverside town of Llangollen with a golf club, the 14th-century Plas Newydd Historic House and hiking areas leading you to the ruins of Castell Dinas Brân. Outdoor adventurers can hike or mountain bike through Llandegla Forest, follow Offa’s Dyke Path to World’s End, or venture into Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park for an abundance of scenic walks.
