    More Information

Surrounded by fields and woodlands, this converted barn provides cosy and comfortable accommodation near the market town of Bideford, North Devon. An ideal retreat for a couple seeking peace and tranquillity. Step into the open plan sitting area and admire the views across the countryside and towards the lakes and beyond through the large windows. The open beams give a rustic feel to this comfortable area and the attractively furnished bedroom enjoys an en-suite. Outside, the private patio is perfect for lazing on sunny days, sipping cool drinks and ideal for al fresco dining or join in with a barbecue evening in the large garden area which is shared with similar cottages on-site. Being set on a working farm guests are welcome to be in thick of things at lambing time or pop down to one of the lakes for a spot of fishing, wildlife spotting or simply enjoy the canopy of stars unblemished by city lights. The market town of Bideford is nearby and offers shops and quayside cafes or hop on a boat to the wildlife haven of Lundy Island or a coastline cruise. The vast expanse of sandy beach at Westward Ho! makes a fabulous day out for sun-worshippers, toe dippers and surfers. The beach has a high pebble ridge which separates it from Northam Burrows where golf lovers can play on the oldest links course in England and enjoy the views at the same time. A trip to the old fishing village of Appledore or the cobbled streets of Clovelly are wonderful browsing days with winding streets and art galleries galore. An experience of rural life, a perfect break to escape your busy routine.
