After dinner, relax in the pleasant sitting room, where on cooler evenings you can light the woodburner and let your cares drift away, or on sunny days open the French doors in the kitchen that lead onto a patio area and lawned garden, where alfresco dining can be enjoyed. On-site theres a picnic area with thatched gazebo, set next to the River Thet, which runs through the grounds, plus theres also a one acre fishing lake available for guests to use, and the remains of Old Harling Hall, once belonging to Henry the 7ths chancellor can be seen on the estate. You also have free shared use of the hot tub. The South Norfolk village of East Harling has a 15th century church, market square and a range of amenities, including a shop, Post Office and two pubs. Within reach are many places of interest, including market towns, forest walks, and further afield Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and the coast. An excellent base for whatever you wish to see and do in the area.
