For those that love the outdoors, take an exhilarating coastal walk along the Brigg, investigate rock pools or simply take in the fresh sea air whilst on the beach. Filey Bird Garden and Animal park, Bempton RSPB reserve and the majestic stately homes of Sledmere House or Burton Agnes Hall are all nearby promising brilliant local days out. Heading south, Bridlington offers great variety, including two golden beaches, historic buildings and The East Riding Leisure Centre. To the North is the well-known seaside resort of Scarborough; with its elevated castle, open air theatre, golf courses and stunning coastal walks.
