Just outside the small village of Dousland, on the south-western slopes of Dartmoor, is Burham Barn. Footpaths/lanes lead to two pubs within ½ mile, on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Nearby Burrator Reservoir offers a unique day out for families, nature enthusiasts and Dartmoor lovers alike, with ample walks, wildlife and history. Impressive Buckland Abbey is just a short drive away, as are the market town of Tavistock and Plymouth – Devon’s Ocean City.
