This stunning manor house is located in lovely countryside a mile from the village of Bridestowe on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. With amazing history dating from the 13th century, it is a very special and unique, Grade II* listed destination for families and big groups of friends to gather. From the moment you step into the grand dining hall with its vast fireplace and coat of arms, you will be absorbed into the magical atmosphere of this house with its big rooms and multi-room Sonos system. A library, sitting room and TV room are all lovely places to sit peacefully, or have fun in the music room complete with instruments. The breakfast room with wood burning stove off the well equipped kitchen is perfect for less formal dining. You can arrange for caterers to cook for you if you wish. Two flights of stairs lead you up to five fantastic en suite bedrooms, all with fine Egyptian cotton linen and fluffy bathrobes provided, and a games room plus handy simple kitchen area. In fairytale style in the Tower is a sixth en suite bedroom. The grounds are as lovely as the house, with over 13 acres where you can be lord of the manor and enjoy gardens, woods, ponds and paddocks with wonderful views over the moors. Play croquet, eat alfresco in the lit barbecue area with chimenea, gaze at the scenery or run free and play games and hide and seek in the open spaces. There is beautiful moorland to walk and explore beyond the manor, with opportunities to walk and cycle, and with a pub in Bridestowe village and lively towns at Tavistock and Okehampton there are plenty of eateries and shops to browse. National Trust Lydford Gorge is a stunning place to visit. Great Bidlake is a fantastic place to make happy memories with friends and family.
