Susanna’s Apartment, on the first floor (arrow 3), is named after the wife of Acton Castle’s eccentric creator. Stunning sea views along the coast to St Michael’s Mount, slate-floors and a huge open plan living area with mullioned windows looking out to sea await. Everything here has been well thought out, there is a well-equipped kitchen as well as two bedrooms a king size double and a twin bedded room, these share a family bathroom. Outside, you can wander the formal castle gardens and terraces. The very pretty hamlet of Rosudgeon is ideally placed for exploring the area. Nearby, you can spend the day exploring St Michaels Mount or Penzance, both within a short drive, or for those seeking a day at the seaside the sandy beaches at Perran Sands, Marazion and Praa Sands are some of the best in the South West.
