Attractions include Druridge Bay, the city of Newcastle with its vibrant streets and bustling nightlife and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall to the west of the town. Locally you can visit the Chantry Bagpipe Museum, view the remains of the historic castle, stroll through some lovely parks and gardens or take a picnic to enjoy along the riverside.
