Set over two floors and boasting plenty of character, The Old Schoolhouse is a tranquil escape for families or groups of friends eager to explore this wonderful region of Scotland. Settle in for a quiet evening in the sitting room, curling up on the sofa in front of the woodburning stove. Those budding chefs can impress in the kitchen, utilising a range of appliances including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and even a dishwasher, so washing up will be no trouble! As the night grows darker, head to the bedrooms to catch some rest; on the ground floor there is a double room, while upstairs includes the master with king-size with en-suite bathroom, a double and a bunk room with four beds, offering a variety of sleeping arrangements. Each bedroom is well-furnished with ample storage for personal belongings, serviced by a bathroom with bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for the day. Step outside and enjoy a moment in the enclosed garden, complete with a table and chairs for alfresco dining, along with a barbecue for summer evenings. The nearby town of Montrose offers a pleasant old centre, home to an interesting museum, art gallery, selection of independent shops, and a handful of quirky eateries where you can pick up a nibble.
